The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered 1963 during sand quarrying. Five chambers, stone lined and flag roofed. Construction trench exposed in quarry face. Chamber 1: L 5m; Wth 0.9m; H 0.7m. Chamber 2: L 2m; Wth 0.9m; H 0.5m. Chamber 3: L 4.4m; Wth 0.85m; H 0.95m. Chamber 4: L 6.6m; Wth 0.75m; H 1.1 (max.). Chamber 5: L 2.8m; Wth 0.95m (max.); H 0.6m. In field called "Forteen" which may indicate remains of ringfort. (NMI).
