The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a SE-facing slope with restricted views. A raised semicircular area (diam. 25m E-W) is enclosed by a scarp (Wth 0.7m; H 0.05-0.75m) E-W and by intermittent faint traces of a scarp W-E. A narrow overgrown farm road with equally overgrown stone walls bisects the rath N-S. An E-W field boundary at right angles to the road bisects the E half of the rath, which is partially obscured by ferns. According to local information, this rath is known as 'the lios'. A bullaun stone (CO127-057----) lies c. 100m to the E.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
