The National Monuments Service's description
Remains of four corn stands built on rock outcrop in field adjacent to farmyard. Each one consists of a circular area (diam. c. 3.7m) enclosed by stone wall (H 0.8m; Wth 0.57m) with a central circular stone pier (H c. 0.55m; diam. c. 1m).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
