The National Monuments Service's description
Above stream leading into Rossmore Bog and Ihernagh River. Multiperiod L-shaped 2 storey corn mill retains mill machinery. According to miller, the present inward-flow turbine in wheel pit along N elevation, replaced vertical overshot water-wheel (diam. 24 feet) in 1940s. Turbine still powers machinery via belts and pulleys including a pair of enclosed french burr stones at 1st floor. Robinson Roller Mill, Bramford rapid hammer mill also present. According to miller W section used as Carding mill in 19th century. Tuck mill to E along same mill race. Small, mid-19th-century single storey rectangular structure. Miller remembered a wooden waterwheel (diam. 14 feet; Wth 2 feet) along N elevation. Now a piggery.
