This graveyard is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 1 West Cork' (1992, 370) under the entry (no. 2257) for a Church of Ireland Church (CO118-034001-). The reference in the entry reads as follows: 'Ruins of 18th century protestant church in walled graveyard (CO118-0340002-) in Bantry Town.'
