The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a hillock on the E bank of a river with views W-E. A circular area (23m N-S; 21m E-W) is enclosed by the remains of two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.6m to the base of the fosse) is evident SE-SW and N-ENE. Some stone inclusions were noted in this bank at N and a large boulder lies beside its inner face, also at N. The fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.4m from outer ground level) is evident SE-WNW and N-ENE. The outer bank, which also has stone inclusions, is evident SW-WNW where the ground slopes down to the river bank. The interior of the rath is partially covered by rushes. A possible souterrain (CO117-009002-) is located near the centre of the interior. Another rath and souterrain (CO117-008001-, CO117-008002-) are located c. 130m to the SW.
