The National Monuments Service's description

In rough peaty ground, with occasional outcropping rock and surface boulders, on a W-facing slope at the foot of Hungry Hill. Turf-cutting has exposed the remains of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.7m; H 0.6m) which extend intermittently in a general N-S direction in a roughly rectangular area (c. 180m E-W; c. 70m N-S). The relict boundaries are located to the S of a stream that flows into Park Lake to the W. Two fulachtaí fia (CO116-028----, CO116-029----) are situated to the N of this stream. The relict field boundaries curve slightly to incorporate large boulders and it appears that the wall material may have originated mainly from field clearance.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
