The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, in cutaway bog in the level saddle to the N of Holly Hill. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.8m) defined by upright contiguous slabs (T 0.1-0.2m; H 0.4m) which protrude intermittently above the surface of a boggy bank (Wth c. 0.6m). The hut site was exposed by turf-cutting and is best preserved along the NW and SW arcs. Some slabs lean outwards and one example (L 1m; H 0.4m; T 0.1m) at the NE is held in place by an external support stone.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
