The National Monuments Service's description
On a rough hill pasture terrace of cutaway bog, on an E-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Owgarriff River. The remains of a circular hut site (5.4m N-S; 4.9m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 0.6m; H 0.2m) of earth and stone which has been exposed by turf-cutting. There are also traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous slabs, a small number of which are still upright. One stone (L 1m; H 0.5m; T 0.2m) stands along the perimeter at the E. Stones are scattered within the level interior. There is another hut site (CO115-136001-) c. 60m to the SW.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
