The National Monuments Service's description

In a level area of rough grazing, on the SE-facing slopes of Miskish Mountain. A crescent-shaped mound (8.3m N-S; 6m E-W; H 0.5m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil, partially overgrown with gorse bushes. The opening (Wth 1.3m) faces W towards boggy ground.
