The National Monuments Service's description
In rough undulating hill pasture, on a W-facing slope within a network of relict field boundaries (CO115-090001-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 2m) defined by a jumbled stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.2m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The level interior, which is obscured by rushes, is raised (H 0.3m) at the W and cut (D 0.1m) into the upslope at the E to compensate for the hillslope. The hut site is sheltered by outcropping rock at the N and is skirted at the W by a relict wall from the network of field boundaries.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
