The National Monuments Service's description
In rough grazing, on the E side of a stream. A partially eroded horseshoe-shaped mound (9.3m NW-SE; 4.5m NE-SW; H 0.35m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil protrudes above the surface of the bog. The opening (Wth 2.8m) faces SW towards the stream.
