The National Monuments Service's description
In rough mountain pasture, broken by rock outcrop at W side of stream valley, on lower S-facing slope of Maulin Hill. Arc (C 12.2m) ESE->WNW formed by double line of upright contiguous slabs (max. H 0.8m) with grass-covered core (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.4m; Wth 1.5m). Line of enclosure to W defined by rock outcrop. Entrance (Wth 1.4m) marked by two upright parallel slabs set at right angles to line of bank. Hut site adjoins rock outcrop at W side of interior. Consists of circular area (5.3m N-S; 4.7m E-W) defined by stone bank (ext. H 0.55m). Line of upright contiguous stones form inner facing W->E; three sets of double uprights noted to NW. Modern walling to SW indicates modern use as sheep shelter. Small sub-rectangular (4m NW-SE; 2.9m NE-SW) enclosure adjoins outer edge of enclosure to ESE. Interior defined by rough stone bank. Entrance to NE (Wth 0.6m) defined by two upright parallel slabs. Complex lies in SW corner of rectangular field enclosed by rough line of stones. Other disused field boundaries to S.
