The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on the lower W and NW-facing stony slopes of Miskish Mountain. The remains of an old trackway (L. c. 1km; Wth 1-2m) run along the hillside in a general NW-N direction below the remains of a network of relict field boundaries (CO114-084011-) and above the enclosed fields which are still in use. A low intermittent bank (Wth 0.4-0.9m; H 0.1-0.8m) of earth and stone runs along the downslope side of the track. The track is indistinct in places and, according to local information, it continued at this elevation along the N-NE slopes of Miskish Mountain.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
