The National Monuments Service's description
Sub-rectangular area (100m NW-SE; 74m NE-SW) projecting SE into Newfoundland Bay; defined on landward side by earthen bank (L 86m; max. int. H 1.1m; max. ext. H 1.95m) with external fosse (D 0.6m), extending from SW edge for 52m. Bank topped by earthen field boundary (H c. 0.8m),stone faced in parts. Entrance (Wth 4m) with causeway lies 30m from SW edge. Interior slopes up from bank to level area.
