This church was referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 1 West Cork' (1992, 309) under the entry (no. 2943) for a burial ground (CO111-052001-). The reference to the church within the entry reads: 'Cill (site of) marked on OS 6-inch map (1939); no visible surface trace.'
