The National Monuments Service's description
This mill is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 1 - West Cork' (1992, 321-2) under the entry (no. 3058) for the tower house (CO108-051003-). The reference reads as follows: 'Rectangular (7.3m E-W; 5.5m N-S) two-storey ruin of mill just to W said to have been built with stone from castle.'
