The National Monuments Service's description
Abandoned castellated house overlooking Glengarriff Harbour to W; 9-bay, 2-storey with shallow curving bows, embattled square tower at E end. Taller embattled circular tower at NE corner joins main building on to castellated 2-storey wing; set at obtuse angle to main house; with wooden ogee-headed windows and hood mouldings.
