The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture on a N-facing slope near the S bank of the Coomarkane River. A circular area (diam. 9m) is defined by the lower courses of a partially collapsed stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.7m) that protrude above the surface of the surrounding bog. The level interior, obscured by ferns, is raised (H 0.2m) at N and cut into the bank (D 0.3m) at S to compensate for the slope.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
