The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill grazing, on the N bank of a stream in an area of cutaway bog and within a network of field boundaries (CO104-021003-). A crescent-shaped mound (9m E-W; 5.5m N-S; H 1.1m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 3m) faces S towards the stream. This burnt material is exposed at the tip of each of the arms which are being eroded by the stream. A hut site (CO104-021002-) lies c. 40m to the SE.
