The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on the summit of a NE-SW ridge surrounded by hills except to the S where there are views of Bantry Bay. A circular enclosure (diam. 18.5m) defined by a wall which consists of an inner and outer circle of mainly large stones (T 1.25m; H 0.7m), with an infill of smaller stones. Field clearance has added a further collection of stones, both large and small, which are placed intermittently and haphazardly on top of and along both sides of the original wall. The level interior is in pasture. There are gaps in the wall at E and W, but no clear evidence of an original entrance. A stone row (CO103-017----) lies c. 100m to the NW.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
