The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered in 1975 in levelled ringfort (096-06101-). Two oval chambers with rock-cut base; air vent and backfilled construction shaft (Ó Drisceoil and Hurley 1978, 76). Opening in ground is still evident.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
