The National Monuments Service's description
In the SE quadrant of a bivallate rath (CO094-060001-). This souterrain was investigated by Windele in 1856 (0'Mahony 1908, 84-5). Several chambers were noted, all earth cut; in some the roofs were formed of flagstones. Among reported finds were bones, including some human. Evidence of the souterrain is found inside the ESE entrance to the ringfort, as two grass-covered mounds of excavated material with ground between noticeably collapsed.
