The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture broken by rock outcropping. Flat slab of sandstone (L 0.88m; Wth 0.61m; H 0.1m) with small Latin cross (0.6m x 0.4m) inscribed on outer (SW) face; resting on stone-built base. Upright slab (now broken) on top of altar has fragmentary inscription: 'ALTAR OF PENAL DAYS'.
