The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was reported by archaeologist Tony Miller. He describes it as follows: "In an area of young forestry near the top of a ridge and just to the west of Carrigmount. The butter path which crosses neighbouring Shehy Beg passes just south of the site. A track for machines to access the forestry has been scraped out up into the hill here and in the process has exposed a section of burnt spread roughly 4m in length. It is not possible to see its full extent and there is no mound visible on either side of the track."
