The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture. Described in OS Name Book (1842) as 'a circle of gallauns' three of which are still standing and one lying prostrate and is commonly called a stone circle in other parts of the country'. No visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
