The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on bog covered with heather and moor grass, on a W-facing slope overlooking Glengarriff Harbour. A network of several stretches of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.8m; H 0.4m) occurs at irregular intervals throughout the hillside (c. 400m N-S; c. 250m E-W). The relict field boundaries protrude above the surface of the bog. Within this network are four hut sites (CO091-017002-, CO091-017003-, CO091-017007- and CO091-017008-), two fulachtaí fia (CO091-017001-, CO091-017006-) and a cist (CO091-017004-).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
