The National Monuments Service's description
The Down Survey (1655-6) Barony map show a number of small structures and two mills (CO086-121---- and CO086-122----) in an area named 'Killenelly'. This probably represents the mid-17th century settlement of the present Killanully. There are no visible remains at ground level of any 17th-century buildings in this area. Farm buildings of 19th-century appearance are situated in the NW corner of a pasture field, the area roughly corresponding to that shown on the Down Survey (1655-6) map.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
