In tillage, at base of S-facing slope. Depicted on 1842, 1902 and 1933 OS 6-inch maps as rectangular field (max. c. 50m E-W; c. 60m N-S). Earthen bank (H 1.6m) survives to N and E incorporated into field fence system; drain (D c. 3m) follows line of external fosse on E side. According to O'Leary (1918, 115), 'on Mrs. Coleman's farm is a square lios, half an acre or so in area, with rampart 6 feet or 7 feet high'.
