The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered in 1846 built into a souterrain (CO085-067002-) with five other ogham stones (CO085-067003-; CO085-067004-; CO085-067005-; CO085-067006-; CO085-067007-), now in the collection of the National Museum of Ireland (see DU018-374----). According to Macalister (1945, 100-1, no. 102), the original inscription on this stone (1.1m; 0.3m x 0.3m) has almost entirely been erased; on 'the dexter angle' is another inscription, which he describes as 'a mere graffito....roughly scratched' and gives as DILOGONN, the same reading as McManus (1991, 65). (Power et al. 1997, no. 7953)
This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. To access details go to the following website: http://ogham.celt.dias.ie/search.php?ciic=102
