Just N of centre in graveyard (9541); fragmentary ruins of rectangularstructure (c. 20m E-W; c. 8.4m N-S), formerly parish church of Knockavilly. E gable survives to near full height; central, window missing light surround and ingoings. To N of this window a flat rectangular stone projects from inner wall face (H 0.07m; Wth 0.3m; D 0.28m). Only other sections of walls surviving are c. 6.4m length of S wall, which has been repaired, and stump of SW corner; otherwise walls reduced to sod-covered foundations. Interior covered with burials, most marked by low uninscribed stones; earliest headstone noted here dated 1791, though Hartnett (1939, 263) noted one dated 1757. In repair in 1639 (Brady 1863, vol. 1, 199) bu tprobably went out of use shortly afterwards.
