The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 35.5m) defined by scarp (max. H 3m). Hartnett (1939, 156) recorded 'section of original rampart remaining' to N and 'modern field fence superimposed on the line of the old rampart' to E. Possible souterrain (8959) in interior.
