In pasture, in NW corner of field. Depicted as roughly rectangular enclosure (c. 45m E-W; c. 35m N-S), hachured on E and S sides and incorporated into field fence system to W and N on 1842 and 1903 OS 6-inch maps. Field fences survive to W and N and may incorporate remains of earthen bank; slight rise noticeable in area of site. According to local information, fort survived into 1960s with banks worn down due to ploughing. Hartnett (1939, 167) recorded 'traces of a rectangular ring-fort, 180ft by 140ft' consisting of 'modern' fences to N and W, 'slight bank' to S and scarp (H 2ft) to E.
