The National Monuments Service's description
Described by Quinn and Carroll (2010) as ‘Collapsed stone house located just to east of the existing public access road. The rectangular stone house is largely ruinous and collapsed. It consists of a random rubble drystone construction and is orientated E/W. A small annex adjoins the structure to the E. A large enclosing earthen and stone bank is located outside the north wall of the house. The house measures 12m NE/SW and 6m NW/SE. The house is marked on the 1st Edition (1840) map as a rectangular structure and so dates to the mid 19th century or earlier.'
