The National Monuments Service's description
On E side of Dunbar Street; St Finbar's South, alias South Chapel. Cruciform church; nave and chancel, and possibly north transept, built in 1766 (Cahalane 1943, 27), south transept added in 1809 (ibid.); both these dates cut in quoins on NW corner of nave and SW corner of south transept, respectively. W gable of nave faces street; door surround modern, much evidence for rebuilding in central part of wall; cut limestone bellcot atop gable. Interior largely modernised, according to Craig (1982, 224) 'brutally gutted'; the altar contains the Dead Christ, by Hogan (Cahalane, ibid.).
