The National Monuments Service's description
This plaque is located on the north-facing wall of the Raven bar at the juncion of South Main Street and Liberty Street. It bears a coat-of-arms surmounted by the monogram IHS flanked by stylised representations of the Tudor rose (right) and a fleur-de-lis (left) below which is a petalled flower motif. The shield is flanked by the initials T (above) P on the left and C (above) F on the right. Directly underneath the shield is the date 1606. The original provenance of this plaque is unknown. It might possibly have formed part of the over-mantle of an ornate fireplace. (Brett et al. 2006, 20)
