The National Monuments Service's description

Roadside, just NW of Coachford village; square graveyard (c. 40m N-S; c. 40m E-W) enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank to N and E, and by retaining stone wall to S and W. In N half, ruin of C of I parish church of Magourney (CO072-006003-), on site of earlier parish church (CO072-006001-). Still in use; earliest inscribed headstone noted dated 1724, some low uninscribed gravemarkers also noted.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In this instance the entry has been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
