The National Monuments Service's description
On N edge of graveyard (CO071-082001-); ivy-clad remains of gabled rectangular church (27.4m E-W; 7.6m N-S); walls stand to near full height except N wall, most of which has entirely fallen. Remains of doorway near W end of S wall; two further gaps in S wall indicate window positions. Small lintelledwall presses at S end of E wall and E end of S wall, also wall press in NE corner. Central window embrasure in E wall largely fallen but light survives: double round-headed light below simple tracery head consisting of two 'comma shapes' below an elongated vertical oval with pointed ends; probably 16th-century in style (see Leask 1960, vol. 3, 125-31). This window is flanked inside by two small niches with pointed heads. Near E end of N wall is blocked-up doorway; door with pointed arch faces into church. Remains of late-medieval parish church of Macloneigh, in ruins since atleast 1700 (Lunham 1909, 24).
