The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depictd as roughly circular area (diam c. 35m) on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; bank survives as low rise enclosing circular area (diam. 35.3m). According to Hartnett (1939, 108), fort oval in plan and originally double-ramparted with outer rampart levelled except to E, where earth and stone bank ran outside fosse; entrance to NE. Outer bank described by Hartnett (ibid.) appears to befield boundary to E of enclosure which curves to respect site.
