The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture. No visible surface trace of features which Hartnett (PJH) described as 'the foundations of hut sites....one, which is fairly definite, is oblong in ground plan 15ft by 6ft....only a few inches of the foundations remain....there are others but it would be well nigh impossible without clearing the site of loose stones etc., to attempt to plan them'.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
