The National Monuments Service's description

Raftery (1941, 304) recorded long stone cist (L 2.45m; Wth 1.25m; D 0.6m). Walls were 0.40m thick, formed of stones mortared together. Long axis lay NNW-ESE (sic.); cist contained some human bones and fragments of an ox skull. Exact location not known.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
