The National Monuments Service's description

One of five houses (with CO064-156004-, CO064-157----, CO064-159----, CO064-160----) uncovered by archaeological excavation, which formed a small post-medieval settlement built on the site of a medieval moated site (CO064-156001-). This house was located 8m to the S of the moated site. The excavation uncovered the presence of a hearth but it was impossible to conclusively establish the location of its walls. (Cotter 2003a, 27; 2005a)

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
