The National Monuments Service's description

Cropmark in tillage (CASAP) shows roughly oval-shaped univallate enclosure (max.diam c. 100m) with internal division running E->W at SE end, possibly suggesting that the enclosure was originally smaller. Levelled ringfort (8233) in same field c. 150m to SE; linear feature (9131) in same field and between the two sites. Second enclosure (9130) c. 100m to NW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
