The National Monuments Service's description
In centre of ringfort (CO061-152001-). Discovered c. 1935 during tree planting. Investigated later by Hartnett (1939, 227), who recorded a single stone-built chamber '12 feet x 31/2 feet and 5 feet in height'; walls corbelled and roofed with large slabs. No visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
