The National Monuments Service's description
In centre of graveyard (CO061-106001-); fragmentary remains of parish church of Kilcolman. Rectangular church (16.55m E-W; 7.7m N-S) of two clear phases: E wall, E end of S wall and most of N wall are remains of earlier church; most of S wall, W gable and W end of N wall, evidently a rebuilding. This is clearly evident near E end of S wall where earlier wall (Wth c. 6.95m) is overlaid by later wall (Wth c. 0.6m). Walls of earlier church only rise above foundation level in SE corner (H 2.5m), including S side of central window ope in E wall, and mid-section of N wall (H 1m). Later walls stand to nearly full height; in centre of W gable tall pointed window ope, three similar opes along S wall, all of 18th-century appearance. Church here reported in ruins in 1615 and again in 1774 (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 249), gravestone inside church with date 1807; likely therefore that church was rebuilt in early 18th century but only reused for short period
