The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture, between two streams; site bisected by roadway. By all accounts (Brash 1879, 125; Macalister 1945, 119-20; Hartnett 1939, 74), flour mill (CO061-079002-) which was demolished here c. 1840 stood on site of 'an erased ring fort' (Hartnett ibid.); two ogham stones (7962, 7983) were found when mill demolished which may have been first discovered when fort levelled. No visible surface trace of ringfort or mill.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
