The National Monuments Service's description
Windele (1853, 231) mentioned several possible long cists which he describes as 'field burial[s]', covered and lined with stone and orientated NW-SE and which adjoined possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (9207).'Their upper outlines approach very near the surface of the soil' and they contained skulls and bones (ibid.). Exact location not known. Windele also mentions seven or eight similar burials at 'Cahirachladdig, in the same parish'; location of this also remains unknown.
