The National Monuments Service's description

Shown only on 1842 OS 6-inch map, depicted as oval enclosure defined by broken line (c. 110m NE-SW; c. 18m NW-SE), with lane parallel to and inside NW side taking up half of width of enclosure. Lane now disused; overgrown to SE. No visible surface trace of enclosure or gravemarkers. Known locally as "Old Aghinagh burial ground".

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
