The National Monuments Service's description

In coniferous plantation. Inspected in 2012 it consists of a U-shaped mound (max. dims. 13.7m ENE-WSW, 9.4m NNW-SSE; max. H 1.55m) of burnt stone and charcoal-rich soil with an opening to the NNW. The opening in the centre of the mound is c. 4.5 wide (pers. comm. E. Byrnes).
