The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture. Pair of stones depicted and named 'Dallauns' on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Single stone (H 1.4m; 1.2m x 0.8m) survives, roughly rectangular in shape. Hartnett (1939, 52) recorded second stone (H 18ins) 11ft to W. Ringbarrow (CO060-106001-) in same field a short distance to W.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
